Workers United NY/NJ is a union for all workers, and we represent people in a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, retail, garment-making, food service, cannabis and tech. We are currently active in two major campaigns: to unionize Starbucks and to transform NY’s nail salon industry. Please click the graphics below to learn more about our efforts.
As Starbucks Workers United, we are organizing a union to bring out the best in all of us. Our organizing committee includes Starbucks partners from across the Buffalo region. Many of us have invested years of our lives at Starbucks, while others have recently become partners. We all have one thing in common -- we want the company to succeed and we want our work lives to be the best they can be.
Tabletop Workers United is made up of workers at three board game cafes in New York City: Hex&Co, the Brooklyn Strategist, and the Uncommons. Workers at Hex&Co, which is a chain with three locations in Manhattan, became the first unionized board game cafe in NYC when they won their election in November 2023.
